Product information

Manthorpe's Apex Trays are designed for use in Stepped Tray systems and can be used with all standard brickwork detail.

Product Description

The GW290 Apex Tray is the last tray to be fitted and goes at the top of the abutment. It has no up stands at either end and allows the water to be evenly dispersed down either side of the abutment.
The tray has a unique front mortar clip that can be removed at any time once the mortar has set leaving a 25mm deep aperture into which the lead is inserted and secured with lead wedges.
The GW290 Apex Tray can be supplied unleaded or with lead stapled and sealed to the tray in either code 4 or code 5 (special order).

Key Features

  • Part of the brickwork stepped tray system
  • Apex tray for top of the abutment
  • Open ends for drainage run off
  • Removable mortar strip for lead placement
  • Can be supplied with lead attached

Fitting Requirements

Strike a line or use a dummy truss offset 75mm from the proposed finished roof line, one tray should be placed in each course at the intersection of this line.

Do not fit the trays into the nearest perp end, brickwork will need to be cut to achieve correct pitch, but will be hidden by the lead flashing.

Do not dry bed the trays, lay on a thin skim of mortar.
